What?
Due to several years without a chemical control for these soil dwelling pests, more and more lawns and sports pitches have been decimated by these small critters. Leatherjackets (larvae of Crane Fly) and Chafer Grubs (larvae of Chafer Beetles) live in the soil feeding on the roots of the grass, causing areas of turf to deteriorate, or even die off/disappear completely.
In the UK towards the end of 2023, a solution has become available for turf professionals like Willโs Norfolk Lawns. An Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach can now be carefully carried out to reduce the risk of further attacks from these pests in the future.
